This video is about student output, or how students express themselves in speaking, writing and physical activities. It shows children and early adolescents struggling to express themselves in classroom and home situations and focuses on common problems that many students face when asked to produce work, communicate their thoughts or perform in physical activities. The video also offers practical strategies that teachers and parents can use to help children be successful with their output. Viewers will gain insights into these challenges and how they relate to breakdowns in the neurodevelopmental functions of attention, memory, language, neuromotor functions and higher order cognition. Dr. Levine, other experts, teachers, parents and students themselves share observations of children’s output problems and strategies to address them.
